Lea Bailey Goldmine Experience
Gold Panning is a minority hobby. There is nothing nicer to find your own gold to make your own jewellery. Learn the craft of recovering gold from grounds and you will be set for life.
Kit has re-opened the Lea Bailey Goldmine set deep in the heart of the wooded hillside of UK’s first National Park, the Royal Forest of Dean. The goldmine was started around 1906 and became talk of the town.
You’ll be able to spend the whole day at the mine and pan for gold bearing materials. And you can see examples of the tools that were used.
You’ll also be fed a gold miners lunch and as much tea, coffee, squash as you like.
The Lea Bailey Gold Mine Experience is only open to the public at particular times of the year. Therefore there are limited places available for the days experience and recommend booking well in advance to save disappointment.
It’s a fabulous fun day out.
