


West Park Museum
Visit this informative, purpose-built museum and explore the land of ancient Egyptians. Travel down the Nile with the Victorian explorer Marianne Brocklehurst, daughter of John Brocklehurst, a Macclesfield mill owner, and see the treasures she collected from her explorations in the 19th century.
Alongside this renowned collection is also a local history display, which includes a selection of works by local artist Charles Tunnicliffe.
The Museum has a small shop stocking a selection of Egyptian items, Tunnicliffe items and information booklets about the Egyptian collection.
Location Details: The museum is located in the park.
Facilities: Fully accessible to wheelchairs. There are no public toilets on site or cafe.
Opening Times: Summer (March – November) Tuesday – Sunday 1.30pm-4.30pm /
Winter (November -March) Wednesday – Sunday 1pm-4pm
