The Old Hall - Tatton Park
The Old Hall is Tatton’s hidden gem, set in a stunning area of parkland. Once the heart of the estate, the hall still survives with origins dating back to the 15th century.
The building itself stands near the disappeared Tatton village whose humps and hollows show where houses once stood. The site, a Scheduled Ancient Monument, is considered an area of significant historical and archaeological importance in the North West.
Today the Old Hall is the setting for historical re-enactments such as the ‘Medieval Fayre’ and ‘American Civil War’. It also hosts many of Tatton Park’s events, from summer outdoor theatres to spooky Halloween Hauntings. It is also a popular film location and was once featured on ‘TVs Most Haunted’.
Opening Times: The Old Hall is also open for tours, please check their website for the dates.
