The Friars

As soon as you enter the grounds you will a sense the calmness, peace and tranquillity of the Friars. The placed is steeped in History dating back to the 12th Century and it is home to Carmelite fathers.
We believe there is a HIDDEN secret, but no-one knows what it is?

The Friars is situated in Aylesford, one of the old Villages in England.

When you enter the Friars you will see the West and North barn on your right. The North Barn is available for hire; the West barn is home to the book shop, also sells a wide variety of gifts and also serves light refreshments.

At the bottom of the car park you will see the world Famous Aylesford Pottery, which began life here in 1954.

You will find a pond with an ancient willow tree which drapes itself over the duck houses, on an island.

It is a wonderful place to visit and you can step back as you walk around the priory and the grounds.

Facilities: They have disabled toilets and some disabled access.
