Visit this wonderful mine that has been worked since 1922 for fluorite and lead ore. Learn about various mining methods used and discover a network of tunnels that exist under your feet. You will be amazed by the crystals glistening in the walls.

Here you will get an authentic insight into life underground and learn all about the tools and equipment needed to extract lead and fluorspar in days gone by.

Location Details: Temple mine situated on Temple Road at Matlock Bath is only accessed from the Peak District Mining Museum with guided tours.

Opening Times: Summer: Daily with guided tours at 12 noon and 2pm
Winter: Weekends only with guided tours at 12 noon and 2pm
