Rudyard Lake
This lake, situated between luscious green hillsides and fields, is a wonderful idyllic place to spend a relaxing few hours. But if you’re feeling a bit more energetic, you could take a walk around the lake, which takes approximately 90 minutes.
Afterwards, sit in the café and watch sailing and other activities on the lake. There is also a miniature railway you can go on if you don’t fancy walking back to the car.
Rudyard Lake was created around two centuries ago to provide water for the West Midlands canal, which at that time was expanding greatly.
A visit to Rudyard Lake is great for all of the family.
