Renishaw Hall & Gardens
This unique hall has been a home to the Sitwell family for almost four hundred years. Walk around this wonderful building and discover how each room has its own real sense of history of the generations who have lived there before. Learn about the famed literary trio, Edith, Osbert and Sacheverell Sitwell who played a huge part in the artistic and literary world in the early part of the last century.
You can also take time out in the tranquillity of the classical Italianate gardens, woodlands and park that surround the hall. Admire the wonderful bluebells, delphiniums, camellias, roses and the stunning ‘white garden’. Garden tours for groups are available throughout the year by appointment.
Public tours around the hall are also available Fridays at 1.00pm and 2.30pm at the weekends in August. Group tours are available throughout the year via appointment. They accommodate up to 50 people and take approximately one hour. Coach drivers enjoy a complimentary meal. Renishaw Hall also has a Gallery Cafe for the general public which is open during garden opening times.
Opening Times: The gardens, museum, Gallery Café and shop are open Wednesday to Sunday, 10.30am to 4.30pm from Saturday 30th March until Sunday 29th September.
