Redwings Mountains Visitor Centre
We are pleased to announce the reopening of our Norfolk sites, Redwings Caldecott and Redwings Aylsham. As we wish to trial these measures on a small-scale to start, we do not at the moment have reopening dates for our other visitor centres; Redwings Ada Cole in Essex, Redwings Oxhill in Warwickshire and Redwings Mountains in Angus, Scotland.
We’re sorry if this causes any disappointment, but please keep an eye on our website – http://www.redwings.org.uk and our social media channels for further updates as and when we can bring them to you.
Set in 220 acres of beautiful woodlands and paddocks, Redwings Mountains provides a place of sanctuary to over 90 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. Here animal lovers can get up close and cuddly with its adorable residents and hear their stories – and, best of all, it’s completely FREE!
You can enjoy meeting super-cute donkey Minnie and her son Mouse and handsome cob Gibson, as well as bountiful wildlife including red squirrels and mountain birds.
After a relaxing stroll, you can put your feet up with a warm cuppa and a tasty snack in the Nosebag café, while an on-site gift shop offers a wide range of souvenirs.
You might also like to sponsor one of the charity’s adorable Adoption Stars, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year’s adoption costs just £15!
Redwings Mountains also offers a schedule of family activities during the school holidays.
Facilities: Redwings Mountains offers ample, on-site parking with disabled parking and disabled toilets. There’s a gift shop and a café (with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options). Dogs on leads are welcome.
Costs: FREE admission and parking. Dogs on leads are welcome.
