Merseyside Maritime Museum
The Museum is more than just a fantastic museum. It is also a treasure house of architectural and mechanical invention. The museum we know today moved into block D of the completed Albert Dock Building in 1986 and opened in 1987. Since opening collecting has continued and included a wide range of memorabilia relating to seafaring, sea travel and the port of Liverpool.
The museum also has within its collections tow ships, the Edmund Gardner and De Wadden, which are situated in the Canning graving docks.
Opening Times: Daily from 10am-5pm.
Costs: Free admission and the exhibitions and events are also free.
