This fabulous museum dedicated to helicopters is the only one in the country and the largest of its kind in the world. View over 80 helicopters in their full glory and learn about their remarkable history.
The hangers are full of a variety of impressive helicopters from Britain, East & West Europe and America, including a fully-armed Russian Gunship, the world’s fastest helicopter, the Vietnam Veterans, two aircraft of the Queens Royal Flight and a massive 37-seater transport helicopter.
Children can enjoy seeing how helicopter engines work in the interactive zone, and can view aerial action in the film theatre. They can also have fun in the outside play area.
Open Cockpit Days and real helicopter flights operate every month alongside a varied calendar of family-friendly events. Meet the stars of TV and Film at ‘Stars of Time’ and watch Santa arrive by helicopter at the Christmas Fun Day.
