Essex Police Museum
Visit this interesting small police museum based at the Police Headquarters in Chelmsford and discover what it has taken over the years for the police force to become what it is today. See a collection of objects, paper documents and photographs relating to the history of the police dating back from 1840 to the present day.
Learn all about the famous murders over the last 150 years and see a range of police uniforms and equipment. Take your own fingerprints and get locked up in the Victorian gaol if you dare, and then get children to dress up in police uniforms and other outfits.
