Standing in the mill stream in the centre of Eardisland, the Dovecote is one of Eardisland’s most distinctive historic buildings and dates from about 1700 although the earliest reference to a dovecote in the village is 1469.
Renovated and restored in 2000, it was formerly part of the Manor House estate. You can still see the nesting places and the internal structure of the dovecote but the building also serves as an exhibition venue, tourist information centre and a voluntary run shop selling local produce.
Opening Times: Open all year, daily.
