Crewe Heritage Centre
Get on track and visit a heritage centre dedicated to the history of the town of Crewe and its connection to railways.
The Centre has a large exhibition building as well as three signal boxes, Crewe North Junction, Crewe A Box, and Exeter West Box. The have a number of diesel and electric locomotives on display including the remaining Advanced Passenger Train (APT) vehicles.
They also have visiting main line steam locomotives during the summer period which use their facilities in between running rail tours on the main network.
One of their most popular attractions is their extensive miniature railway with three stations and both steam and diesel outline locomotives. British and American outline model railway layouts are on display too.
Opening Times: The centre is open weekends and Bank Holidays from 10am to 4.30pm with last admissions at 3.30pm (from April to the last weekend in September).
