Chiltern Open Air Museum
Chiltern Open Air Museum is a museum of rescued historic buildings set in 45 acres of beautiful Chilterns landscape. Our buildings range from a reconstructed Iron Age roundhouse to an impeccably-reconstructed 1940s Prefab, and include a working Victorian farm and blacksmith’s Forge. There’s plenty of space to run around and lots of activities for the whole family, whatever the weather, including meeting our animals, dressing up, playing with traditional toys, and exploring the Museum with the aid of one of our free backpacks or trails.
We have an exciting programme of special events throughout the year as well as our fantastic ‘Terrific Tuesdays’ during Bucks school holidays. Why not look at our website for details of what’s coming up?
We have a shop, tea room, refreshment kiosk, lovely Edwardian toilets (and modern ones too!), a brand new adventure playground, free car parking and welcome dogs on a short lead.
Opening Times: 10am – 5pm (last admission 3.30 pm)
