Nestled on the edge of the ancient Alice Holt Forest and is home to over 1000 birds set in 26 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds. Ranging from parrots, penguins, toucans and flamingos to owls, pelicans, ducks and Emus, you will be amazed at the variety. Popular exhibits include, The Silent Forest Songbird Aviaries, The Terry Pratchett Owl Parliament, Flamingo Cove and Penguin Beach.
In addition to birds, Birdworld is also home to the Jenny Wren Farm where children can enjoy meeting all manner of animals such as pigs, sheep, rabbits, mice and even reindeer! Also visitors can enjoy a visit to Underwater World with its tropical fish, Piranhas and Crocodiles.
With well-stocked gift shops, restaurants and refreshment kiosks, all of your needs are well catered for and for garden lovers there is easy access to the adjoining Forest Lodge garden Centre.
Although it is a large site, all paths are flat with plenty of seating and it is therefore ideal for all ages to enjoy. Daily events include penguin feeding, flying displays and animal handling at the farm and for regular visitors; a very popular membership scheme offers some great opportunities.
