Arbor Low Stone Circle and Gib Hill Barrow

This Neolithic monument is atmospherically set amid high moorland.

Witness within an earthen bank and ditch, a circle of 50 white limestone slabs, all now fallen, which surround a central stone cove – a feature found only in major sacred sites.

Nearby is a large burial mound, the enigmatic Gib Hill. And just two miles south of Monyash near Bakewell is the Arbor Low stone circle. This attraction would possibly appeal to the amateur or indeed professional archaeologists.
